Feeling — Calm

Nest — Console

This concept project extends my thesis research on how music influences the brain and human consciousness. It explores the potential of sound as an active tool for enhancing well-being through meditative experiences, culminating in the early-stage design of a sonic meditation app.

My contributions so far include the core concept, early-stage UX design, and foundational market research. My focus remains on designing a strategic, experience-driven foundation for the tool, while leaving space for it to grow and adapt through ongoing design exploration.

the Challenge

You eyes and take a deep breath. As the sound of a low-frequency hum washes over you, your mind begins to settle. how do we know if we're truly reaching a meditative state?
How can we harness the connection between sound and brain activity to create a digital tool that supports personalized meditation journey.
(02)

the Opportunity

A market analysis overview pointed towards the gap between meditator and their meditation experience. Meditation apps like Headpace, Endel among other are doing this pretty well but the ball is dropped at the stage of just providing the music for the users.

the Solution

A digital experience crafted for wellness enthusiasts, bio-hackers & meditation practitioners. The experienced enables the users to utilize biometric feedback to monitoring their growth along with data driven decision making that aims to optimize the users meditation experience.
(04)

the result

The result is a clear set of wireframes that outline the app’s core user flow. They reflect the fundamental idea of using sound and bio-feedback to support mindfulness and lay the groundwork for the next design phase.

Next steps 🚀

So far the journey has been a mix of research, concept development and UX design. Now, the project is being tested under visual development which will be followed by A/B testing to gain further insights about the experience design so far.
